Typically, apartments tend to be in the city. If you call a city apartment home yet long for the warm, cozy atmosphere of a country home, this is something you can certainly achieve. If you have the space in your kitchen, a natural or knotty pine wood table is a great country addition. A checkered or lace cloth atop the table continues the country feel. If you just don’t have the space for a table, instead use antique-looking bar stools at the counter. You can also enhance the country atmosphere with wildflower arrangements, wooden bowls and spoons, and even some country candles. A wooden spice rack on the countertop or a wicker centerpiece on the table make nice country touches as well.

One of the keys to a country-style décor is using plenty of natural, exposed, or antique-looking wood, as well as simply patterned cloths for the tables. When choosing accessories and accents, go with items you truly love, as this will help add a little of your unique personality into the mix. Other wonderful country touches include natural flowers, country-style candles, bookcases filled with old or leather-bound books, quilts, and wicker.
